What information we collect

This site collects the contact details a client voluntarily submits for quote requests, scheduling, route validation, and service communication.

Name, email address, and mobile phone number
Property address, postal code, and neighborhood details
Dog count, requested service frequency, and yard notes
Client communication or account notes related to service

How we use that information

We use submitted information to respond to quote requests, confirm route fit, schedule service, send service-related texts or emails, and maintain client records.

We do not sell client information. We do not collect more information than is needed to quote, schedule, and support the service.

Communication and data handling

If you opt into SMS communication, texts may be used for quote follow-up, route arrival, appointment timing, account support, or service changes.

We may use service providers or software platforms that help us process quotes, schedule work, or communicate with clients, but only for business operations tied to the service.

These providers include Jobber (quotes, scheduling and client records), Quo (calls and texts), our email delivery provider, and our website host (Cloudflare). They handle information only on our behalf, to deliver the service.

Website analytics and advertising measurement

To understand how the site is used and which advertising leads to quote requests, this site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity. These tools record how visitors use pages (for example pages viewed, clicks, scrolling and device and browser type) and may use cookies or similar technologies. Microsoft Clarity may produce heatmaps and session recordings.

If you arrive from one of our Google ads, we keep the ad's click identifier and campaign details (such as UTM tags) in your browser's local storage, and include them with a quote request you submit so we can connect the request to the ad.

When you submit a quote request, we may send Google a one-way hashed (SHA-256) form of your email address and phone number, plus that click identifier if present and the time of the request, so Google can measure which ads led to requests. We do not send your name, street address or the contents of your request, and we do not use this to build advertising profiles or sell your information.

You can limit these tools through your browser settings or by using a content blocker, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.

Google Ads and Google account data

The Poop Valet runs a private admin tool, The Poop Valet CRM, that connects to our own Google Ads account so we can review and manage our advertising. It uses only our own account's campaign, keyword and performance data, is used only by authorized staff, and is not offered to anyone else. Google authorization tokens are stored encrypted on our servers.

We do not sell or share data obtained from Google's APIs, and we use it only to run our own advertising. The Poop Valet's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. YouTube API Services and Google Business Profile

The Poop Valet's private admin tool also connects to our own YouTube channel and our own Google Business Profile. It uses YouTube API Services to upload and schedule our own marketing videos and to read the performance numbers for those videos, and the Business Profile connection to read our own reviews and publish our own business posts. It is used only by authorized staff, only for our own accounts, and is not offered to anyone else. Visitors to our website do not sign in with Google or YouTube.

By using YouTube API Services in this way, we are bound by the YouTube Terms of Service at https://www.youtube.com/t/terms, and Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy applies to data handled through them. We do not sell or share data obtained through these connections, and we use it only to run our own marketing. You can revoke our tool's access to a Google account at any time at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.

How long we keep information and your choices

We keep client records for as long as we provide service to you and for as long as needed afterward for accounting, tax and legal reasons. Analytics information is kept according to the retention settings of the analytics providers.

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, withdraw your consent to marketing messages (reply STOP to a text or use the unsubscribe link in an email), or ask us to delete it, unless we are required to keep it.
